If users are invited to try the Safari 16 Beta, simply click the “Accept Invitation” link in the email and follow the instructions on the AppleSeed website. Other new features in Safari 16 include shared tab groups, strong password editing, improved CSS and passkeys – a new way to authenticate to websites via Touch ID and Face ID without creating a traditional password. However, the release notes for Safari 16 Beta have yet to mention this feature, suggesting that users running macOS versions prior to macOS Ventura will not be able to use the feature. Users can even translate images using live text.
In macOS Ventura and iOS 16, Apple expanded the capabilities of Live Text to work with video. This means that websites and web applications can now send notifications to users even when Safari is closed. The new version of Safari addresses one of web developers’ major complaints about Apple’s browser, the lack of web push notifications. Safari 16 is bundled with macOS Ventura and iOS 16, bringing several new features and improvements. The program is invitation-only, which means users cannot actively apply to Apple for beta testing.

After releasing a major update to the Safari Technology Preview earlier this week, Apple is now inviting macOS Monterey and Big Sur users to test the new Safari 16 Beta for iOS 16, which will be released later this year.
